Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo are two beautiful twin lakes located in Rwanda, at the base of the Muhabura Volcano. The drive from Kigali to the lakes takes about 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. The distance is approximately 100 km (62 miles). You would take the RN4 road towards Musanze.
