7 Days Mount Elgon Hiking and trekking to the Africa`s sixth highest mountain is one of the adventurous activities that one can do when visiting Uganda the pearl of Africa. Standing at height of 4321metres tall, with worlds largest caldera on top. Mount Elgon National park is blessed with beautiful sceneries with a number of water falls beautifying its gentle and steep slopes. The park has major hiking trails, Sasa, Piswa, Sipi that can be combined to offer the best mountain hiking experience.

1
Day 1: ARRIVAL AT ENTEBBE AIRPORT - UGANDA
Your arrival will be a warm welcome by our company representative then taken for refreshments and depending on time of arrival, you will check in at your hotel then acclimatize. There is an option of going for a city tour or staying behind to relax while recovering jet lag. Briefing about your safari is also done today and final payments if any. Overnight at your hotel (Biraj Hotel for Budget or Mystil Hotel for luxury - BB).

Day 2: Kampala – Sipi falls.
Have early morning breakfast and transfer to Sipi falls in Kapchorwa, here we will pass via Mabira forest in morning, proceed to Jinja, Mbale lunch served on the way and we check in at Sipi river lodge and we hike to the top of Sipi falls in the evening. This place is blessed with beautiful sceneries and rich in culture with its welcoming and good hearted people. The place is also blessed with its geography offering spectacular scenic viewpoints that you cannot afford to miss. The photograph lover this the place you have been dreaming about. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Sipi- Kapkwata
Very early morning breakfast and we transfer to Kapkwata trail. Here we will be starting our hiking experience in depth. Aw we ascend to this trail, we will be able to enjoy nature and its beauties, the vegetation here is mesmerizing with sighting of falls as we ascend. This trail is at 2190 meters and we will reach Piswa Camp which at 2850 meters. Dinner and camping at PISWA HUT CAMPSITE

Day 4: Hunters cave
Very earl morning heavy breakfast and hike to the top part of this park. Which is 3870 meters,here we will be able to visit the hot springs, Suam Gorge and have a feel of this experience at this altitude. This Hike will offer you the top most experience as you ascend to the top, with scenic beauty of the park, come face to small antelopes if Lucy, birds of endemic to this region, endemic plants and the amazing caves. Dinner and camping at the Hunters Camp.

Day 5: Wagagai-Mude Camp
Morning breakfast, the ascend to the caldera and later to Wagagai which is at the top most of this park standing at 4321 meters tall. The feeling after conqueringthis challenge is always the best part. Memorable photos while at the top are what will remind of this journey. Later descend to Mude cave passing through the Jacksons pool and Jackson peak being one of those that your to have conquered. Dinner and camping at Mude cave camp (3500)

Day 6: Descent through Sasi Trail- Kampala.
Early morning breakfast, then descend through this magical trail and head to Budadiri then head to Mbale. Here you will also be able to feed your eyes with the beauty of this park, having a glance at Sasi River in brief as were are winding up our magical trip. Have lunch in Mbale and then proceed to Kampala. Dinner and overnight at Mystil Hotel

Day 7: DEPARTURE
The airport transfer of today will be given to you by our friendly drivers at the time of your flight. If the airport transfer is late, then we shall also offer a city tour around Kampala’s famous plus allowing you time to shop for souvenir and historical sites then drop you off to the airport in time for your flight and see you off. This Package comes with:
  1. All Meals and accommodation as per the itinerary.
  2. All ground transportation in a comfortable 4x4 safari vehicles.
  3. Services of a full time English speaking driver/safari guide.
