7 Batwa Trail and Kabale Bakiga Home stay

per person

7 Batwa Trail and Kabale Bakiga Home stay, The Batwa people are indigenous forest-dwelling pygmy people who live in the forests of currently Bwindi impenetrable national park, Echuya and Mgahinga forests though their habitats were disrupted by the creation of Bwindi and Mgahinga protected areas by the colonial administration in the 1930s. Originally, Batwa were hunter-gatherers in southwest Uganda with short-height structures. Rutwa is the local language but phasing out due to the dominant Rufumbira and Rukiga used in the communities with the bakiga and Bafumbira in the neighboring districts of Kanungu, Kisoro, and Kabale as well as outskirts of the forests. On the other hand, littered with Islands and enclosed by steep, terraced hills, Africa’s second deepest lake with its surroundings having looks of the Swiss Alps is unforgettably scenic! It’s endowed with many little birds (Bunyonyi) and calm bilharzia-free waters that make canoe rides and bird watching a famous activity done on this famous Lake Bunyonyi.
