1
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Kisoro

Today you will be picked by our guide from Entebbe and start your journey to Kisoro, a journey that crosses the equator line. The drive to the Kisoro is incredibly scenic, passing through various local villages and the lush green countryside & hills which characterize so much of south western Uganda. You will have en-route lunch and the journey takes 8-9hours. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs or Gorilla Mist camp

Day2: Gorilla Tracking.

Today you go to track the rare mountain gorillas. After a briefing from your ranger guide, begin Gorilla tracking the mountain gorillas through the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This gorilla tracking can take a couple of hours or a whole day depending on the location of the apes. Due to the nature of the activity, you will have a packed lunch. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s cousins as they eat rest, play, and bond with their young ones. Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest and discover their gorgeous natural habitat and the many species they share it with. Coming face to face with these Gorillas is the most amazing experience you can ever have! You will have a chance to take pictures and enjoy the Gorillas from a close range observing adults feeding, groaning, and resting as the youngsters play and move backward and forward in a pleasantly comical demonstration. After a well-earned trip to the Gorillas, you will drive back to your lodge for an overnight. You can rest your tired legs and restorative massage, offered from the gorilla tracking experience! Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs or Gorilla Mist camp

Day 3: Mountain Mgahinga Volcano hike – Relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi

Today after breakfast you prepare for your hike to the foothills of the virunga Volcanoes through bamboo forest that gives you the chance to spot forest birds, swamps, wild vegetation and the beautiful views of surrounding lakes and agricultural villages. Mgahinga is part of a larger ecosystem which includes two adjacent parks in Rwanda and Congo sitting high in the clouds, at the altitude of between 2,227m and 4127m. It was formed to protect the rare Mountain gorillas that inhabit its dense forests and it’s a habitat for the rare golden monkey. The park temperatures are cool owing to the mountainous nature with a home of 300 gorillas located in Virunga massif and the culture or traditional healing practices for local people covers the north slopes of the three northern Virunga Volcanoes (Muhavura, Gahinga & Sabinyo). You will drive to Lake Bunyonyi a place known as small birds after the hike for an overnight at Bunyonyi Birdnest or Bunyonyi Eco resort

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth national park - Ishasha sector.

After breakfast today you embark your on journey to the famous Queen Elizabeth National park. The Park covers an area of about 1978 km2; its position provides a magnificent view of the rift valley floor that occupies Lake Edward and George. The park has one of the highest bio diversity ratings of any national park in the world as its well known to be habitat of about 95 mammals along with 612 species of birds. You will drive through the Ishasha sector for Tree climbing Lions’ search. Dinner and overnight at Parkview Safari Lodge or Equivalent

Day: 5 Queen Elizabeth national park games drive & boat cruise- Kazinga Channel

After an early breakfast, you go for a long morning game drive at 6.30 a.m. in time to see the early risers that you happened to miss in your previous afternoon game drive & the beautiful sun rise. You will search for all the wildlife in the park; Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Water-buck, Leopard, Uganda Kobs, Warthog, etc. After lunch, you will take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon. Here, you will see a lot of hippos (more than you can possibly imagine!), as well as a variety of other animals which come to the waterhole to drink or bathe. You can expect to see: Buffalo, Crocodile, bathing Elephant, and a range of beautiful birds. This will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your tour. After the boat-safari you do a game drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Parkview Safari Lodge or Equivalent

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking & Drive back to the Airport

After your early breakfast, you will visit the stunning Kyambura Gorge also called the “Valley of Apes” is located in the far eastern corner of the well- known Queen Elizabeth National Park in south western Uganda. Approximately 1 km across – at its broadest point and about 100 meters deep, this gorge is actually drained by River Kyambura. The landscape is among the most impressive you will find in Uganda and it is swarmed by a rich wildlife bio-diversity that comprises of primates, wild animals as well as birds. The Kyambura Gorge is a section of the stunning Queen Elizabeth National Park or the Mweya (as it is referred to locally) in the lower Western part of Uganda. Your driver will take you back to the airport for your flight or your point of drop off.
