Day 2
Pick up from Hotel after breakfast and transfer towards Jinja for +/- 2.5 hours to Wildwaters Lodge. We must stress that the drive from Kampala to Jinja can take long (due to traffic). Spend the afternoon at leisure.
Wildwaters Lodge is nestled luxuriant rainforest on its own private island mid-stream in the mighty river Nile. Thick riverine forest naturally covers the island and each of the ten timber floor rooms is nestled amidst the forest with a private breathtaking view over the river Nile and its rapids. The expensive canvas walled traditionally thatched rooms each with private decks with elegant free standing Bath tubes, softly lit with handmade furniture you relax on this Island paradise.
Overnight at Wildwaters Lodge (FB).
Day 3
After breakfast transfer from the lodge to starting point for your full day white water rafting. This is a full day activity of 31km for the most exciting, heart–pounding experience white water rafting with stop over for lunch on private mid-river Island, barbeque and complimentary beer/sodas after the trip.
Choose to raft in the paddle-powered boats for one of the wildest raft rides on the planet, or opt to be rowed downstream by our professional guides in the safety raft.
There are safety rafts and kayakers, a photographer and video-kayaker that record videos for your viewing at the end of the safari (you can buy a copy if interested).
High-flotation life jackets, helmets, spray jackets and custom-made rafting equipment are provided. No rafting or swimming experience is necessary (min age 16 years).
Overnight at Wildwaters Lodge (FB)
Day 4
After breakfast transfer from the Lodge to the source of the Nile in Jinja. River Nile is the longest river in Africa with Lake Victoria as its source. The river starts its 6,500km journey to the Mediterranean Sea (Egypt) beside Jinja town (Uganda) and holds the Owen Falls Dam the source of hydroelectricity for Uganda with one other dam under construction currently.
A tour to the Nile will take you through another life of adventure. There is a golf course unwinding along the banks and the source of the Nile provides a pretty focal point to the flow of water from Lake Victoria’s only outlet. A boat ride out to Samuka Island is another trip in itself, not counting the beautiful fauna you will see along.
Transfer to Entebbe with site seeing en route including Kampala city for souvenir shopping and then to Entebbe Airport for your outbound flight
