Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National park via Fort portal.
On a Friday afternoon, depart from Kampala city and head to western Uganda for your weekend retreat in Uganda’s wilderness. You will drive through Fort portal town and make a stopover at “Mabere ga nyina mwiru” for a both cultural and geographical fascinating experience! The steaming sound of waterfalls welcomes you at the entrance. At the entrance to the caves, the narrow slippery path guides you through as you penetrate into a cool green world of moss and fern covered by trees and rocks. From here, continue with the Kasese highway and check in at Sandton Hotel Kasese for your dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park, afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga Channel and an evening campfire with berbaque.
After breakfast, start your day with a game drive around the Queen Elizabeth National Park and enjoy the sights of the Kasenyi Plains as Uganda Kobs jump playfully through the savannah grasses watched by the lions planning their morning hunt. Expect to see herds of Uganda kobs, African Elephants, Cape Buffaloes, with an amazing array of vegetation cover that are all proper for taking memorable photographs. Return to the hotel for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel between Lake George and Edward which is a memorable way to view the abundant game in Queen Elizabeth national park especially Hippos, crocodiles and also (but not guaranteed) have a chance to physically witness predator-prey actions at the water source! Return to the hotel and end your exciting trip with a group campfire accompanied by berbaque. Have your dinner and overnight at Sandton hotel Kasese.
Day 3: Return to Kampala via Igongo cultural centre and Ankole museum, stopover at the Equator-Kayabwe.
After having your breakfast, check out of the hotel and embark on a leisure journey to Kampala, have a stopover at Igongo cultural centre & Country Hotel which is a leading recreational complex comprising of the captivating & one of the best museums in Uganda, Eriijukiro (the museum of South Western Uganda), and a traditional restaurant where you will have your lunch from. Proceed to Kayabwe at the Equator line for photography and visit the craft shops. Continue with the journey to Kampala and reach in the evening.
