In the afternoon, you will embark on a guided hike to explore the stunning Sipi Falls. The falls consist of a series of three waterfalls cascading down the slopes of Mount Elgon. The powerful rush of water and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and farmlands. After the hike, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Mount Elgon National Park is situated about 235 kilometers northeast of Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. The park can be accessed through various entry points, with the most common being the eastern town of Mbale. Mbale serves as a gateway to the park and offers accommodation options, as well as access to hiking trails.
At the heart of Mount Elgon National Park is Mount Elgon itself, an extinct volcano that stands at an elevation of 4,321 meters above sea level. The mountain boasts the largest surface area of any extinct volcano globally. Mount Elgon is characterized by unique features such as calderas, hot springs, caves, and waterfalls, making it a fascinating destination for nature lovers.

Day 1: Drive to Sipi falls via Jinja
Begin this great day of your trip driving to Mbale Town, you will enjoy the beauty of Mountain Elgon and you will visit the Local people called the Bagisu and you will enjoy knowing more about their culture. Most of these people live on top and the slopes of the mountain. After this Amazing stop, you will drive to the Sipi falls to Lacam lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Hike to the falls
After breakfast, you will continue your exploration of Sipi Falls. Today's activities will include a visit to a local coffee plantation, where you will learn about the process of coffee production from bean to cup. Engage in interactive sessions, including picking coffee cherries, sorting, roasting, grinding, and finally, savoring a cup of freshly brewed coffee.
Immerse yourself in the local culture as you interact with the farmers and learn about their way of life. This experience provides a unique opportunity to understand the significance of coffee in the region and its impact on the local economy. In the afternoon, embark on another hike to explore the different viewpoints of Sipi Falls. Each viewpoint offers its own distinct vantage point, allowing you to capture stunning photographs and soak in the beauty of the landscape. Feel the mist of the falls on your face and listen to the soothing sound of cascading water as you admire the natural wonders around you. After the hike, return to your accommodation for a relaxing evening. Enjoy a delicious dinner prepared with locally sourced ingredients and spend the night after a great day at Lacam lodge, rest amidst the tranquil ambiance of Sipi Falls.Day 3: Drive to the source of the Nile, Jinja and back to Kampala
Start this day as early as possible and head to the source of the Nile in Jinja, do some activities there and then head to Sezibwa falls which is believed to have been delivered by a woman by the locals. This will give you a chance to listen to the folk stories about this great nature. You will then head back to Kampala and later continue to Entebbe International airport to readily catch your flight back home.
