Rhino tracking in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Uganda: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is a non-profit organization located in Nakasongola district, about 176 km north of Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. It was established in 2005 with the aim of reintroducing white rhinoceros into Uganda’s national parks and protecting the endangered species from poaching and habitat loss.

The sanctuary covers an area of approximately 70 square kilometers and is home to over 20 white rhinos. It is the only place in Uganda where rhinos can be seen in the wild, as they were poached to extinction in the 1980s.

By Road: The most common way to access the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is by road. Visitors can hire a private vehicle or use public transport from Kampala or Entebbe International Airport. The journey takes about 3 hours and the last 7 km of the road to the sanctuary is a dirt track.
