 Cost and Price of Transport.

You will need to budget and plan transport to and from Volcanoes National Park. The minimum days to Volcanoes National Park by road is three days. Therefore you need to budget for three days. The first day is for leaving Kigali to Volcanoes National Park and the next day is for moving around Volcanoes National Park. You need a tour Vehicle to transfer you to and from the starting point of your gorilla trek and the third day is to drive back to Kigali. Thus you need to budget for a vehicle with guide per day and then fuel to cater for the long distance from Kigali to and from Volcanoes National Park. You will have to budget for your accommodation for at least two nights. The first night is when you arrive in Volcanoes National Park and the second night is after your gorilla trek. It is possible to trek gorillas and depart Bwindi on the same day but it is advisable that you plan to stay an extra night since gorilla trekking at times take a shorter time or a longer than expected. Therefore a night is needed after gorilla trekking. Most accommodation properties offer accommodation and meals on full board. Cost of Porters

We encourage all our clients to take porters for their gorilla trek for several reasons. They help carry clients bags and other belongings while approaching gorillas, They give a hand during trekking in the forest. This extra effort is to enable you achieve your dream of viewing these endangered mountain gorillas. Porters can be hired at $10 to $20 each, per trek depending on what is there to carry. The guide is catered for in the price of the permit so you may not need to hire one. Cost of Tips

Tips are an appreciation of good service rendered to you by your safari guide, gorilla trekking guide, waiters and porters. there is no specific amount of money guarantee to paid as tip, you give according to your wish. Bwindi itself has four sectors in which the trek takes place that is; Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga and Nkuringo and each of them has different challenges in terms of roads and vehicle requirements. Small vehicles can be hired at $45 to $60 per day, a medium 4X4 goes for $80 to $100 per day whereas comfortable jeeps and Land Cruisers range between $200 to $300 a day. All of these different price ranges are only for car hire / rental without fuel.

Budget accommodation ranges between $30 to $60 per night, mid-range at $80 to $180, Luxury accommodation Bwindi $200 to $500 and upmarket facilities that fall between $800 to $3000 per night.
