4 days Chimpanzee Trekking Kibale Forest National park shows you Uganda is a land of contrast, dappled with wildlife, serene undulating hills of tea plantations, lush but orderly, give way to tangled jungle and rainforest with the musical accompaniment of chaotic, cacophonous birdlife. Uganda is alive with these contrasts: yet silent elephants, disappearing like a vapor behind the trees, the chimpanzees crashing about the forest canopy, the lugubrious gorilla, chewing thoughtfully in the bamboo thickets. Let us show you Uganda with all its contrast and wildness.

Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National park covers 795sq.km and one of the most beautiful with varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is home to a number of forest wildlife, 13 species of primate and with a population of about 1450 chimpanzees. At the park’s northern tip, Kibale is highest and stands 1590m above sea level. It also harbors a rare species called L’Hoest’s monkey along with the colobus monkeys. Among others include blue monkeys, black and white colobus, red tailed monkey, bush baby and cheeked mangabey. The rarely seen wild animals include leopard, bush pig, duiker, buffalo, elephant, bufferflies, reptiles along with amphibians. Not forgetting the amazing flora and fauna of Kibale that’s supported by different factors such as the wet tropical forest that grows on the Fort Portal Plateau, the dry tropical forest savannah, the woodland as well as the diverse altitude.  Kanyanchu in the central part has a dense forest that is a habitant to many species. The trees are about 55m high and show a semi-closed canopy of trees with crowns. There’s also a variety of herbs, ferns and about 315 tree species have been noted in the park.
